This thing is *violently* purple. Historic seventies mopar color maybe?

I don’t like the color but damn if I don’t love the fact you can buy one that color.

I’d absolutely rock the purple. So much better than another variation of silver or beige.

I wouldn’t buy a Wrangler, but if I did I wouldn’t rule out this color.

I’m not a Wrangler guy - but the 2 door hardtop with color-matched fenders and top looks very good.
That purple is crazy in a good way. Plum crazy perchance?

I like it!

I love it!

I like it but I wouldn’t have gone for the color-matched hardtop. Charcoal grey would look much better.

Now imagine on a Wrangler Unlimited. That’s a lot of purple.

Exactly! Way better than grayscale, props to this person

I bet you’re right, it does look very close to something you would see on a Cuda

Agreed!

OK, so I ran over to the configurator on jeep.com. Here’s what you need to get this cool combo:
Wrangler 2 door
Sahara model (gets the color matched fenders)
Xtreme Purple Perl-Coat paint
Freedom Top Body-Color 3 Piece hardtop
I optioned mine out (with other options as well) to 40K. Yikes!!

Yeah I’ve driven one, the acceleration is actually decent but the driving position, interior quality, etc. are pretty terrible
![]() 11/01/2017 at 14:37 |

Maybe a little too much lol
![]() 11/01/2017 at 14:39 |

Yikes indeed!! Especially given the state of the interior plastics, I’ve driven one and it’s totally unacceptable for a $40k+ car.

Yup. Lots of my friends own them, and I’ve driven top-spec models; they’re noisy, slow, uncomfortable, steer poorly, flip easily, use a good deal of gas, and most of the people I know who own them are kids whose parents bought it for them because it’s considered cool. I get it, but at the same time, I don’t.

Exactly. I’ve never been into these. They’re mostly used to transport kids like you said, and have an insane number of downsides for the price.

Yup. Although I do have to give props to one of my friends here at uni, his is a 4-door and one of the fully-loaded mall crawler types, but it has a 6-speed stick shift.

yep I can see that being a good time, 3 pedals is so much fun after living in barge land for a bit
